Evening everyone!

I know it's still pretty early but i thought it'd be a good idea to get the ball rolling on theorizing our guilds trade skills. If nothing else it'd be good to get a snapshot of how many people are interested in which professions to begin planning how we want to tackle certain deficiencies within the guild and what we can expect to excel in. Currently as I understand it, No one character will be able to specialize/master an entire process from start to finish. Since it's going to be based off of a three tiered system of Gathering-Processing-Crafting I think it would be good to start discussing which professions are going to be higher priorities for the guild etc. Especially if we want to be relatively self sufficient. I for one am excited about the animal husbandry system and the possibility of being able to provide us with quality mounts though I wouldn't be opposed to a leatherworking profession should the need arise! It definitely sounds like we are going to need a solid commitment to lumber/timber harvesters, woodworking and shipbuilders to sustain/thrive in a coastal biome.

Anyway that's just been on my mind lately. Thoughts? Professions your excited for? I'm looking forward to hearing about it all!

Ah yes my friend let the discussion begin! I think guild numbers and positioning of nodes need to be taken into account not to mention the different armor types the guild we need to focus and how scarce resource will be. While spell slingers, bards and fighter types will be invaluable I think we should prioritize tanks and healers as these few are the life blood of any party. Now on the coastal problem I for one vote NO as this is a logistics nightmare the amount of resource and man power to gather and level the nodes not to mention the defense of our shores and walls of the city this seems more mid to late game but it is a goal we should set after we establish ourselves. I think mounts and caravans are essential for any guild and if we find a grand location we can make shop and bank not to mention once people see that we are affirmed this will entice them to join us on our endeavor. Now I do what to talk about the -Divine node- as we acquire one and begin level and growing we need to pick what deity to align ourselves with in worship and religion as with will lead to -Temples and Shrines- from there Equipment Augments and some sort of buff be it just in city or all time I'm not sure.

I also think it would be wise to break the main guild up into five parts the first being the must obvious (The Fresh Experience) this would account not only us but new people to mmorpg genre. The no big dealing it the no go do this or your kick or feeling obligated to do something other than just having FUN!!. The second (Over Committed, Truly Dedicated, Slightly Obsessed) this would consist of us whom wish to command, lead, follow, or organize party's for dungeons, raids, world boss, and grow of the city and its maintenance. The third (The Lone Wolfs) who mainly like playing alone but still want to contribute to the overall guild success. The fourth (The Monopoly) where those of us would be apart of the -Artisan System- and establishing trade. The fifth and final (Player Killers) aka player v. player and guild v. guild. these crazed individuals would not only defend us but plot the down fall of others. I look forward to your views, thoughts, and opinions and I hope all see and discuss and comment.
The guild we be broken up by ranks.

the ranks are PvP, PvE, Gatherer, Crafter, and General. General will be all of the new members, and those who are pre-spc (specialist). All of which I think goes beyond the scope of what he's trying to accomplish with this discussion. I think this is just to get an idea of where everyone is planning on going trade/skill wise. This whole discussion should be geared at another post and not this one.

@Nax Going back to your topic. If there's any woodworking skills I will more than likely try to be a specialist in this. Staffs, and more importantly musical equipment/loots/etc. As a bard, I'd like to also be able to craft max level bard equipment as well.

I plan on being a ranger, but I am interested in breeding. The quicker mounts that we can have, the easier it is to support/flank/retreat.

As a tank I think probably the most fitting would be something related to metals, so mining/smelting or blacksmithing/armor smithing/weapon smithing. It all depends on how the game is going.
Even though I noticed there is "Siege Weapons" on Crafting, that would be really interesting but I think it is more related to lumberjacking... or maybe it's a combination of both?
